Whilst Legion is still gearing up for it’s release next month, Fox has announced that Bryan Singer (director of the original X-Men film) will direct the pilot of a new X-Men series. Variety reported the news alongside a supposed synopsis of the new series:

“The project will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.”

It’s also reported that the series will have some ties to Legion in a bigger way than the movie franchise. Noah Hawley, the mind behind Legion stated that since there are plenty of alternate universes it gives him more leeway to play with characters. Are you excited to see Bryan Singer return to the franchise?
