It’s official, Warner Bros. and DC Films have cast Kiersey Clemons as their Iris West for The Flash! Rumours first surfaced last month, and Variety have reported that the deal has now been closed.

Barry Allen and Iris West are undoubtedly one of the best and most interesting romances in the history of DC Comics, so it’s no shock that she’ll be in The Flash movie. Clemons is teaming up with director Rick Famuyima for a second time, as she starred in his movie Dope. Clemons is known for her roles in Dope, Neighbours 2: Sorority Rising and the upcoming remake of Flatliners. She’s a great actress, and we’re confident she’ll deliver the goods as Iris West.

At Comic-Con 2016, we finally got our first official look at Ezra Miller as The Flash, and he was a major part of the first Justice League trailer.

Iris West is currently on the small screen in The Flash on The CW, being played by Candice Patton – opposite Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen. They have a complicated relationship as he became her adopted brother when his father was framed for his mother’s tragic murder. It’s unclear whether the movie will take cues from the television show, but we feel like something new would be nice!

The Flash zooms into UK cinemas in March 2018, you can find out more release dates in our movie schedule!
