Remember everybody getting excited about the Robin suit in Batman v Superman? We finally have the answer to the huge amount of speculation surrounding the owner of it. During a Warner Bros. Studio Tour, guide John Kourounis walked fans through the DC Universe Exhibit – when he got to the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice section, he confirmed that Jason Todd is in fact the dead Robin.

“This was one of the big things from Batman v Superman, right across the way. The Jason Todd/Robin Suit,” Kourounis revealed. “Spray painted on the front, ‘Ha-Ha. The joke’s on you Batman.’ Those of you that know the storyline, know what happened to this Robin.

We in fact know this storyline rather well and it’s called A Death in the Family, where Joker kidnaps Jason Todd, the second Robin. He tortures him and brutally attacks him with a crowbar whilst his estranged mother is forced to watch. They are both then left in a warehouse that is laced in explosives. Jason Todd stayed dead for a long time, but in typical comic book fashion, returned; but with a twist. He came back as the outstanding Batman villain, the Red Hood.

Now this has us excited. Could we see the storyline of Under The Red Hood adapted in Ben Affleck’s upcoming solo Batman movie? Well, he’s recruited the help of Geoff Johns and he’ll be very aware of how excited the fans would be for this to happen. Jason Todd dying is the main factor in the storyline, and we now know that’s the case, so there’s a good chance it may happen. If the rumours are true, the Batman movie will feature many of his iconic villains, so why wouldn’t Red Hood be included?

Would you like to see Batman face-off against his old sidekick? Let us know!
