It’s no longer a rumour – the Rocket Man himself, Elton John, has officially joined the cast of the Kingsman sequel, The Golden Circle. It was only a few weeks ago when talk started about his inclusion in the follow-up to the surprise hit movie, but the singer has confirmed it himself in the modern way: uploading a poster to Instagram.

It’s been a long time since Tommy….. #Kingsman

It’s hard to gleam any sort of actual information as to whom, or what, he’ll be playing but if we’re honest, we hope he’s in the movie as much as Michael Caine was in the first: a tad more than a cameo but not a member of the main cast. We’re afraid the movie may become too Hollywood and Americanised, but then again we already know it’ll introduce the American version of the Kingsman: the Statesman.

We know Channing Tatum has joined the cast, so has Pedro Pascal of Game of Thrones fame, not forgetting the amazing casting of¬†Halle Berry and Julianne Moore. Taron Egerton is reprising his role as the chav-turned-gentleman Eggsy and it’s been teased that Harry Hart may somehow return.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle is set to hit UK cinemas on June 16th, 2017. Find out more release dates here!
