It looks like the duo of Doctor Strange and Thor will continue to share the screen together after the post-credit scene of the Sorcerer Supreme’s first solo outing. The third movie in the Thor franchise, Ragnarok, will be graced with an appearance from Benedict Cumberbatch.
This appearance was revealed on D23, a fansite for Disney (who own Marvel Studios), and reads as follows:
“Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new.”
Now we know Thor recruited the services of Doctor Strange to find his father Odin, but we’re not sure if this is the exact reason for his inclusion in the upcoming movie. It’s a safe bet, but D23’s piece makes it sound like he’ll help Thor and the Hulk take on some bad guys – we’ll just have to wait and see!
Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Tessha Thompson, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill, and Karl Urban.
Thor: Ragnarok will swing into UK cinemas on October 27.
