The Tomb Raider reboot recently found its villain in the awesome Walton Goggins, and now it’s adding another great actor to the cast. Daniel Wu is the latest actor to join the team of the video game adaptation. You’ll possibly know Wu from Into the Badlands, which returns to AMC for a second season later this year.

Reported exclusively by Variety, Wu is set to play Lu Ren, a ship captain who partners with Croft on a quest to find her father. Who will takeover from Angelina Jolie as the Tomb Raider herself? None other than Alicia Vikander!

The movie has been in development roughly since 2013, when MGM acquired the rights to the video game in order to develop the film alongside GK Films. Graham King himself obtained Tomb Raider from Square Enix in 2011 and will serve as producer for the film. Warner Bros. is co-producing alongside the aforementioned studios.

Tomb Raider will return to UK cinemas once more on March 16, 2018.
