Many thought The Flash would be have been pushed back by now since it recently lost a second director, but surprisingly that’s not the case (yet, anyway). Instead Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa, has had it’s release delayed. Fortunately, fans don’t have to wait much more than they did previously.

Aquaman was slated to release on July 27 in 2018, but now you can watch it on cinemas on October 5. As we said, there’s not much more of a wait than what we all had previously, but it’s still disappointing. DC Entertainment declared this date for an undisclosed movie earlier this year.

Momoa reprises his (brief) role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice to star as the title character, but not before he joins the rasks of his fellow DC heroes in 2017’s Justice League. James Wan will direct Aquaman, and it will also star Amber Heard as Mera and Willem Dafoe as Vulko.

Aquaman surfs into cinemas on October 5, 2018.
