Somehow, the cast for Black Panther just keeps getting better. After making his impressive debut in Captain America: Civil War, Chadwick Boseman is reprising his role of T’Challa, and the legendary Angela Bassett will play his mother, Ramonda.
The Academy Award-nominated actress currently stars in the hit show American Horror Story, and has joined a stacked cast full of amazing actors and actresses. Joining Boseman and Bassett is Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, and Florence Kasumba.
Ramonda, of course, lost her husband T’Chaka during the events of the Civil War, so the character requires an amazing actress to reach the depths of such a tragic loss. We’re sure Bassett and Boseman together will deliver an intense dynamic, especially since family is so important in Wakandan culture.
Black Panther is expected to hit UK cinemas on February 9, 2018.
