After an undisputed stellar performance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Jeremy Irons’ has spilled the beans about him reprising the role of Alfred Pennyworth.
After a recent conversation with Irons, Showbiz 411 have revealed that he confirmed his return in the first Justice League movie – we’re not particularly surprised. His performance is widely regarded as one of the best in Dawn of Justice and personally, he’s given us our favourite portrayal of Batman’s butler yet.
This all-but-confirms that at least part of the upcoming movie will take place in Gotham, with Alfred appearing and J.K. Simmons taking on the role of Commissioner James Gordon. What do you think of this news?
Justice League Part One is currently filming under the direction of Zack Snyder. Henry Cavill, Ben Affeck, and Gal Gadot will reprise their roles of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman respectively.
