EA makes the announcement everyone saw coming, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 will be hitting shelves next year.
Before the massive gaming conference, E3, Electronic Arts hosted their own event; EA Play. A dedicated event solely for their promotional purposes. An earnings call already gave away that they had plans for the sequel, but they’ve officially announced that Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is on the way. Whilst many fans have been vying for more content from the new films, we’ve yet to get anything concrete from the developers… until now. Jay Raymond had this to say about the feedback:
“Next year, you’ll get a new installment of Star Wars Battlefront, and we’re listening to the fans, and will add new content including content from the new films.”
Rey, Finn and Kylo as playable characters anyone? They also announced some more dlc for the current game, giving way to Lando Calrissian and the Cloud City of Bespin as a pack. It’ll also come with more weapons and a playable bounty hunter named Dengar. With added extras like new game modes and star cards, the new pack makes for intriguing stuff. No word yet on how much the pack will cost if you’re not a season pass holder though unfortunately.
