Thor’s journey to become worthy once more hasn’t been an easy once thus far, and Issue #3 has just made Odinson even more desparate. He’s now the prisoner of The Collector, and no amount of effort seems to change this fact. That’s until Beta Ray Bill shows up, again.

Thor learns that there’s an Ultimate Mjolnir on Old Asgard that broke through the multiverse, and this poses more questions than answers. Is the Ultimate universe making a comeback? Well, The Collector owns the Ultimate Mjolnir and he doesn’t fancy giving it up, just like Asgard.

What follows is ultimately a battle for this hammer, seeing Odinson in a Warrior Madness. This issue does a good job at making readers question whether he is actually worthy of wielding Mjolnir, either way we think we’ll find out rather soon. The storyline in this issue continues from the previous two issues perfectly, and keeps up the tension, momentum, and fun.

The artwork feels a little more refined this time round, and it allows for the true feelings of Odinson to shine on the page. Previously the linework has been a little harsh and rough – yes it suits the tone of the story, but it made expression a little less achievable.

The next issue seems like it’ll contain the big battle, and the final issue will likely result in Odinson becoming Thor once more. This all sounds bloody good to us!
