We’re sorry to say that the Father of Marvel Comics, Stan Lee, has passed away aged 95.

He was rushed to hospital early this morning in Hollywood after a year of bad health has plagued the legendary creator. Stan Lee is best known for creating an incredible list of heroes and villains underneath the Marvel Comics banner, including Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Captain Marvel, Daredevil, Black Panther, the Fantastic Four, the Inhumans and of course, the Avengers.

It’s awfully sad news for fans of comic books, superheroes and pop culture across the world. But what’s important to remember is the legacy that he has left behind. Not only has he given the world some gripping characters and stories, but think of the countless people he’s inspired. Ourselves included! He’s provided a multiverse of worlds and tales to astonish.

Rest in peace Stan Lee. Excelsior.
