If you were a fan of the original Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, the original Pink Ranger Kimberly, has been given her own comic run.

The series will see what she does with her life after her departure from the team in the third season. It seems like she’ll need to find her own way of returning to heroics without taking back the mantle of the Pink Ranger from Kat, her replacement. This means she’s not exactly going to be in Ranger uniform, but she’s most definitely going to be tooled up. Don’t worry, the bow and arrow will be making an appearance.

The series has been written by Brenden Fletcher and Kelly Thompson, with the two focusing on how Kimberly copes without an entire team of Rangers to back her up when Goldar comes after her loved ones. When speaking to Comicbookresources.com, Fletcher spoke about the appearance of other Rangers in the series: “Needless to say you will see other Rangers in the series, a few of whom play a major part in the plot. There’s a great mix of old friends and new in “Pink.” You’re going to be surprised at how it all plays out.”

The series is being produced by BOOM! Studios, the minds behind Irredeemable, it seems like with the upcoming release of a new Power Rangers movie, Saban Entertainment and Lionsgate are really tying to push the boat out for all things Rangers. Although bear in mind, the new film is a complete reboot of the series, so it might not focus on the storylines of the original Mighty Morphin’ series.
