Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys #6 gets crazy… and we loved it.

For a while now, this series has been absolutely off-the-wall kind of weird. And we’re okay with that. It made sense for the character, and it was all good fun. But this last issue blends all the oddball madness and combines it with genuine intrigue and depth as Harley Quinn faces off against Harley Sinn. It just shows that as crazy as a character like Harley can get – she’s also very very human. She has a very poignant conversation about her nemesis that truly shows how much heart the anti-hero has.

In fact, even the final fight gets very deep and borderline existential for the two opposing characters. And whilst originally, the story was about putting an end to Harley Sinn – it ends up becoming something a little more. The story ends up being about the gang saving her. And for them to do a complete 180 turn, that’s one hell of a move. Especially given how much they love a bit of good old fashioned violence. The opening scene details that perfectly. When they face off against a group of mercenaries, it felt like Lord of the Flies meets Mad Max with the craziness of Harley Quinn all blended together. And it was perfect.

Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys #6

With superb writing, and a near perfect visual story – Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys #6 is the perfect ending to this thrill ride. We couldn’t get enough. Do we even need to mention that ending? What a brilliant way of teeing the series off for something bigger. If that concept gets followed through at a later date – we’ll be counting down the days. We won’t spoil it for you, but it’s such a brilliant reveal that really pays off. If you’re looking for a wild story that has genuine heart and depth – don’t miss Harley Quinn and Her Gang of Harleys #6.
