Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #3 run into a spot of bother…

Things aren’t particularly looking good for the group right now. Guy Gardner is off-world, and John Stewart can’t check up on him. Whilst Hal Jordan is fighting the Sinestro Corps. to no avail. This is definitely war-time for the Green Lanterns, and they have a really interesting dynamic with the rest of the galaxy. The majority of people still believe in the group as heroes. But since they’ve been absent other groups are clearly taking advantage of the space they’ve left. And Sinestro is really making the most of this.

We’ve seen Sinestro at his most villainous numerous times before. But to see him in a crazy position of power like this is something fresh and new. It really places Green Lanterns in a place of minority and relegated to the underdog position in the galaxy. It looks as if his plans aren’t stopping at ruling the galaxy either, as he’s begun making deals with a religious order that were previously banished. Now since this is such a vast and cosmic tale, we can’t really predict where this part of the storyline is heading. But we don’t doubt that it’ll all end up in a confrontation between Hal + Sinestro.

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #3 really shows the reader that the group are completely outgunned. And the writers do so by completely defeating Hal Jordan himself. Broken and beaten, he’s overwhelmed by Sinestro’s army. It looks like the writers are breaking the character down before they build him back up again. It’s quickly becoming one of the more entertaining titles from DC Comics. The only thing we will say, is that it’s time for Hal Jordan to be reunited with his Green Lanterns.

We can’t wait to see what happens next after Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #3.
